Samantha Green Thumb

Good Morning, and Happy Monday! I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone, LOL! It’s very windy and cold here, and we had snow flurries again yesterday. Sheesh! This crazy weather has me longing for warm Spring days, so I decided to make a card that reminds me of Spring. :D

I just received this gorgeous Samantha Crate Paper and Primas from Jacksonbelle. I *love* the colors in this paper! The card measures 5 1/4″ square. I machine stitched the floral paper to an almost amethyst card base using white thread. Next, I cut a narrow panel of naturals white cardstock, and stamped the Green Thumb flower blossoms using VersaMagic inks (see colors below). Then, I stamped the stems, leaves, and little swirlies using VersaMagic tea leaves ink. The sentiment was stamped with Memories black ink, and then was matted with an elegant eggplant panel. I knotted a piece of wisteria grosgrain ribbon around the focal image, then attached it to the cardfront with dimensionals.

Have you noticed that I am addicted to all things sparkly? :D Well, this card is no exception, LOL! I adhered a Swarovski light purple crystal to the purple flower, and used clear, self-adhesive crystals on the red flower. As a final touch, I inserted light purple brads into the purple primas, then adhered them to the cardfront with dimensionals.

I hope you all have a wonderful week! Hugs! :D

Stamps: green thumb, paper tray (papertrey ink)

Ink: memories black (stewart superior), versamagic: tea leaves, spring pansy, purple hydrangea, turquoise gem. brilliance pearlescent poppy

Paper: almost amethyst, elegant eggplant, naturals white (SU), Samantha (crate paper)

Accessories: primas, brads, swarovski crystal, hero arts self adhesive crystals, wisteria grosgrain, dimensionals, sewing machine, white thread.

Beautiful card, Trudee. Today was still windy in Virginia but not as bad as the last few days (when we had no electric!). It is suppose to be beautiful this weekend.

Super gorgeous! I am loving this paper. If I wasn’t convinced by the take three challenge (I’m obviously catching up on my blog reading) I am now. Green Thumb is still sold out (sigh). Love all the bling and your layout!

    TFS!
