Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday!!! TGIF!! :D

Today’s favorite that I would like to share with you is my Teflon Bone Folder that I purchased from Ellen Hutson’s store. It comes in two sizes: Large, and Standard. Mine is the large. This bone folder is FABULOUS! First of all, it’s not real bone. I know some folks might have a serious “ick factor” by using the SU! one, since it is, truly, beef bone.

This teflon one has a nice weighty feel in your hand. If you use adhesive, or ModPodge, this will not stick!

I have made a comparison for you to show the *huge* difference in folding your cardstock and paper with this teflon bone folder.

The first picture shows three folds using the SU! bone folder. See the shiny edges that it leaves when you crease the fold? I hate that! If I am going to spend an hour making a card, I don’t want my fold to be all shiny and unprofessional looking. Especially if I am going to be sending it in for publication!

This next photo shows the same layout on a different card using the teflon bone folder. See the beautifully smooth, shine-free folds? Doesn’t that look so much better? I think so.

So there you have it. My favorite bone folder…that isn’t really bone :) I highly recommend getting one for yourself so that you can see and feel the difference!

Now I’m off to finish this card I started! Have a great weekend!! :D

Interesting….I don’t have a bone folder at all. lol. Maybe I need one! Thanks, T!

Oh. My. Word. Finally, a solution to the shine problem. I thought I was the only person in the world that was bothered by that! I’d better scoot on over to Ellen Hutson’s store before she blows out of them… thanks for the tip!

Hmmmmm….once again…enabled by trudee! LOL Love your comparison! I was thinking about ordering that strawberry stamp of the month…this will just push me over the edge as now I have something to order with it!

I had no idea there would be a “shining effect” with a bone folder. I use a Pampered Chef scraper and that works great!

Interesting! I never noticed that! Cool, thanks for the info! Beef bone….LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO :D

Thanks for the great tip on the teflon folder. I always put a scrap piece of paper between my cardstock and the bone folder for that very reason (shiny =yucky if it’s not supposed to be there!), but if I get the teflon folder I won’t have to worry about the scrap paper…brilliant!!!

I’ve had mine for a little while now…and I love not having the shine! It’s awesome…I agree! ;)

Yup, I’ll be getting one of these really soon! Thanks for the “demo.” Linda

Really, truly? No shine? Awesome!

I also purchased one from Ellen about 6 or 7 months ago, and I love it. I accidently pulled the wrong one from my jar and started to use it, yuck, it even handles
differently, the old one just didn’t feel right anymore.
It got put away in a drawer.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the teflon bone folder!!! Ellen’s store rocks!!!

All of you make it so hard to be good! I did pick up some of the Mono multi and I do see why you love it. I never realized that switching tools could make such a huge difference, but you can definately see it in your picture.
