Happy Birthday! I so enjoy your blog and your happy attitude. As they say “attitude is everything”. My favorite way to spend my birthday is scrappin and stampin at a crop with all my friends, and a little family time too!

For my birthday, I always take it off from work. I like to indulge in retail therapy (after all, I always pick the perfect gift for myself) and spend time with loved ones and friends. My girlfriends and I typically will always treat the other to lunch and a movie (as its rare these days that we get to spend time with one another).

by driving a convertible corvette! Actually, on my 40th, the hubster rented a white, convertible corvette for me to cruise around in for the WHOLE weekend! What a blast! I definitely felt like I was 20, which was the whole purpose!!! Who wants to feel 40? Happy birthday!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Trudee! On birthdays at our house, the person with the birthday gets to choose any dessert to have for their party. A couple years ago I asked for chocolate souffles and my husband made it happen!!! I’m not sure what was better … the chocolate souffles, themselves (they were fantastic!), or the look on my mother-in-law’s face when she realized what her son had done!

Happy Birthday! I have to agree with you…it’s better to celebrate a birthday than mourn it! I enjoy going out with my family…just my husband and two children. Most of the time we’ll go out to eat at my restuarant of choice, then we’ll go to the movies together.

Happy Birthday Trudee! My favorite way to spend my birthday is by being surrounded by my hubby and kids, and a huge box of SU supplies that my husband always gets me. I love my birthday and love it when someone else gets me a cake. Before I married my new husband, my ex would never do anything for my birthday, but the kids always did, in fact when they were littler and couldn’t bake, they use to make me my favorite sandwich (peanut butter and nutella) and stick a candle in it. What sweet memories. My new husband goes all out for birthdays and makes sure that you have all kinds of fun stuff for it! I love it! BTW, the kids still make me my sandwich as a reminder of thier love for me!

We generally do a really nice grown up dinner together. No kiddos allowed

My fave way to celebrate my birthday is with my Allan, on a deserted beach so I can bare my big butt (well, into a bathing suit anyway) and drink in the sun and sea.

Happy Birthday Trudee! My birthday is Friday. Two years ago I said I wanted a day to myself to stamp-no phone, laundry, dishes, cooking etc. DH and the boys were good about letting me stay in my room to do just that and again last year. That is what I am asking for this year too. Ü

My birthday always falls right around the first day of school, which is a happy day for all moms, so it’s especially happy for me! When I worked nights, it was awesome, I’d take the girls to school and have the whole day to myself. But now that I work days, it’s just another day at the office for me. And we have to bring our own birthday treats. That was one of the first things they asked me when I was hired, was “When’s your birthday?” Weird. So that’s what I do–go to the bakery and bring myself cookies!

I like to celebrate my birthday with my husband and children. My husband really goes all out on my birthday and makes me feel extra special. My kids get so excited making me breakfast in bed. They bring it up to my room and then start to ask, “Mom? Can I try some?” Pretty soon there’s no breakfast left and I still haven’t eaten. And I love their little card stock, home made cards. I loved birthdays as a kid! presents, parties, drop the clothes pin in the bottle, pin the tail on the donkey, etc…I have three grown and married daughters and we’re pretty good about getting together and having dinners together for birthdays. That is really special - I enjoy the time with family more than presents, now that I’m older. I usually buy myself something stamping related for my hubby to give me!

Happy Birthday! I think the most fun I had on a birthday was a few years ago. I decided that we should do something the kids would enjoy! So for MY birthday we went to Chuck E. Cheese, got a pizza and a ton of tokens! The kids had a great time and if they’re happy, I’m happy!

And I don’t mean cheesecake…I mean like Cold Stone white chocolate ice cream with brownies & cherry pie filling and hot fudge mixed in!!!! I get all a-twitter just thinking about all black forest goodness….

I don’t enjoy celebrating with my DH. He has blown off my birthday so many times…I don’t care for any more disappointment. So he is no longer permitted to celebrate my birthday with me. Even as we age, it remains important to have a best girlfriend…they never blow us off or make us feel old!!! ~ Kaylyn

My birthday is July 26 and when we lived on the west coast the Sacramento rubber stamp convention was always on my birthday or the Saturday following! So I would drive over with a friend and I would spend my birthday money!

I celebrate my birthday with my family. My brother’s birthday is 2 days after mine, so we usually try to celebrate together on the day in between. We share a cake (we don’t need 2 big cakes!) and open presents and enjoy the day together with family.

I have always celebrated my birthday by going out to my favorite place to eat with my family and then back to the house for some cake, or flan that my mother bakes. Since my birthday is Dec.15 it runs right in the middle of the Christmas program week and three different programs so I am usually too beat to do anything else. I am always thrilled when it snows on my birthday, that has always been my favorite part about having a December birthday.

For my birthday, I celebrate by not doing a speck of work. I pick up a special treat ( ie this year it will be the new Harry Potter which i will proceed to read all day), and enjoy myself indulging in something fun!

I am a firm believer everyone should have a birthday cake for their birthday & be embarassed to death by co-workers singing them happy birthday! LOL!!! Have a great day!

My favorite way to celebrate my birthday is with the tradition we started when I was a kid. There were 4 of us at home and we couldn’t afford many big birthday parties with friends. So for our birthdays we got to pick the meal and what kind of cake and ice cream. Most of my birthdays were just like that, with only family attending. Now that I’m about to turn 37, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy birthday to you!

When I was an adolescent, I would frequently celebrate my b’day with a slumber party … the night before Halloween! Now that I’m supposed to be a grown-up … it’s not really a big deal, but DH always takes me out to a nice dinner for 2! Yeah!

For my birthday, I always wish for snow, snow beautiful snow and lots of it - so I don’t have to go to work, of course!
But I always celebrate it with a chocolate cake, just like my mom always made me as a kid.
Now days my grown children take me to a restaurant of my choice and we relax spending time with each other.

The past few years I’ve enjoyed my birthday with our family … the boys like to celebrate with me so we can’t bear to leave them and go out on our own! My husband’s birthday is 2 days before me (we were born same year, same hospital!!) so sometimes we go out and celebrate on the ‘in between day’.

Happy Birthday! I LOVE birthdays! My big thing is to spend time with friends and family. The past 2 years my husband planned one day getaways doing all the dorking things I like to do. I’m a huge fan of roadside attractions and the like. We went to the Spam Museum, stopping along the way at everything we could find (a plow competition monument and a Green Giant statue). This year we took an Amtrak adventure (my first train ride) to see my mom. It’s always fun and the scrapbook pages are a hoot to create.

I have a very special birthday, as I had my daughter on my birthday, 1 January. I spend most of it doing something extra special with her and then we spend time with the rest of the family, and then I take an extra day off of work and do something just for myself!!

And I choose the birthday presents. (Its much better that way…however, my husband always says he hadn’t planned to spend that much, but tough! HA!) Yes, that’s the only time its about me, and I make it known. So for your birthday week, SING at the top of your lungs , & buy yourself something (I see by today’s post you already took care of that). You are the queen. Indulge!

Sleep late is the 1st thing you MUST do on your birthday. Do not get dressed. Spend a lazy day on the couch with a good book and watch a few movies. Then, have some wonderful person take you out for seafood. And of course, open all your wonderful birthday presents that MUST include some stamping goodies!

I just celebrated mine two weeks ago. I think what you do on your birthday creates an energy that is infused (I had to say it!) into the coming year. So I try to do some things with an intention of what I want to create for the future. This year I spent time with my husband, time with family, and spent some time for me! My birthday always seems to go on for about a month! I am so blessed to have a large circle of family and friends who want to celebrate with me.

Happy Birthday! I really enjoy your blog and admire your beautiful stamping creations! I have a Holiday Birthday –mine is the day after Christmas. Probably the worst day of the year to have a B-day. Even as a little girl I always wanted a summer birthday - who knows why! So, I always celebrate mine with a summer themed cake and I ask my DH to get out the grill for my b-day dinner (even if there is 2 feet of snow). I always break out my summer sandals that day as well and wear them all day - no matter what! Kinda crazy but being an after Christmas baby is a bummer -almost everyone forgets b/c they are so exhausted from Christmas! My kids think it is fun to celebrate summer on my b-day!

A most blessed and happy birthday to you! My birthday is July 1st, and it is always nice to be able to not feel too guilty when I place my Stampin’ Up! order from the NEW catalog every year! (My wedding aniversary is Dec 30th, so I think I can now also justify a large order in January from the new catty, too. Huh, I had not thought about that ’til just now!)
This has only happened one year, but I think a manicure and a pedicure would be pretty nice every birthday! I know I am pushing it, but a massage would be awesome, too.
I do love to celebrate with family and friends, too. Would never want to give that up!
