Christmas in July
Happy 4th of July!!!
At the speed life is going right now, I thought it would be a good idea to get some Christmas cards made early. I made 8 of these cards yesterday in a very short period of time. I will be making more of these, for sure!
Once again, I used a new Thomas Kinkade stamp from CHF. This one is Village Christmas. I have a bunch of the now retired Cranberry Crisp cardstock, so I thought I’d give this image a whirl in cranberry.
It’s stamped in cranberry ink on vanilla cardstock. Then I trimmed it, leaving about an 1/8″ border, and matted it on brushed gold cardstock. Using the Stampamajig, I stamped the TK sentiment in the lower right corner using ColorBox Fluid Chalk ink in dark brown.
With the help of my handy dandy cropodile, I set a gold eyelet to the left of the sentiment, and tied a piece of burgundy organdy ribbon through. I added two gold brads to the top, and adhered this panel on dimensionals to the cranberry card base. As a final touch, stickles were added to the snow to make everything glisten.
These TK stamps are a joy to work with. I mean look at that image! You can make them as simple or as fancy as you wish. For mass producing Christmas cards, I choose simple
This design could easily be stepped up a bit by embossing the sentiment, and using a BG stamp on the card base. I may make a few like that, too. We’ll see
Have a happy and SAFE 4th of July!!

This card is absolutely gorgeous. I can just imagine living in a quaint little village such as this. Can’t you just see me scurrying around with my ear muffs and mittens? Oh, what a life that would be! And this card makes it possible to believe that a place such as this still exists. You did a wonderful job!
