diVine Watering Can
I just LOVE this Lockhart Stamp Co. Sun Flowers stamp!! I wanted to use some of my NEW Rubber Soul diVine patterned paper, so I changed my sunflowers to coneflowers! Rubber Soul also sells notecards that coordinate with their papers, so the card base is a matching Sweet pea pink notecard. Fred and Dani took all the guesswork out of it for us and made it easy to pair up the paper with the notecards. I LOVE THAT!! Thanks Fred and Dani!!
I cut and embossed a square piece of PaperTrey white cardstock, using my Wizard & Spellbinders Nestabilities basic square die. The image is stamped with Brilliance pearlescent chocolate ink, and heat set to speed up the drying time. I colored the image with the following Copic markers:
After the image was colored, I used my Copic airbrush system to add some soft pink around the panel. Then, I added some beautiful shimmer with my new fave…Copic Spica glitter pens! I used pink, silver and melon for this image. I took a closeup pic so you could see the gorgeous shimmer these pens have:
Don’t you love that? mmmmmmmmmmm I sure do!!
The rest of the card is easy peasy. I cut and embossed a square window in the diVine paper using a larger square from my Spellbinders Nestabilities dies. Then I tied a piece of this NEW May Arts pink and brown polka dot ribbon on the left side. I added the friend sentiment (SU!) to the ribbon using a jump ring and a teeny Spellbinders Nestabilities scalloped oval that was colored with my Copic airbrush system. I think it’s the cutest little charm!!
I finished it off with some chocolate colored brads in all 4 corners.
Lizzie Anne Designs will be having sneak peeks on their website, featuring their NEW stamp sets debuting on Sept. 10th!! Hop on over HERE and check them out!! You are gonna flip when you see them!
Make today a great day! Take time to smell the flowers!! Soon they will be gone and Autumn will be here…

Fantastic, so soft and lovely
Beautiful, as always Trudee! You are probably my worst enabler of all!!! I’m off to check out that paper!!!
Gorgeous….totally gorgeous! The background paper and your image are perfect together.
What a great idea for layering your card! I love how the pink ‘border’ peeks through the center of your card! Their paper IS FANTASTIC, isn’t it?
Once again…your creation is simply stunning!
The card is gorgeous and I love the fact that you take a photo of the Copic markers for us. But it makes me want them all the more.
wow…that watering can is unbelievable! love it!
Beautiful!!! Love the sparkle on your “coneflowers”!!
Trudee,
Thanks for the close-up pic. I’ve been wondering what the Spica pens looked like since seeing them on Ellen Hutson’s website. Love the card.
This is so pretty - thanks for sharing the up-close of your image, I just love the look of those glitter pens! Gorgeous!
This is just beautiful. I have (and love!) quite a few of the Copic markers (thanks to you and your awesome job of “pushing” them *wink*), but now I know I’ve GOTTA have the Spica Glitter Pens!
Trudee,
Another really gorgeous card! You are on a roll…keep it up! Love coming to your blog to see the pretties!
Shawn K.
Ugh!!! Does it get any more gorgeous than this one?? How do you do this everyday, Trudee? Your cards are amazing, to say the least.
thanks for sharing,
barb
This is beautiful. I absolutely love your style. I am eager to try the Copics! Thanks so much for sharing.
So, so pretty!! I’m dying to get my hands on a) some copic markers and b) those Nestabilities!!! You are NOT helping my bank account Missy!!! heehee!! Gorgeous card, Trudee!
STUNNING! I love coming to your site to see your projects, but have you ever thought about going to “full feed”? I read via google reader, and it only gives just the few first lines, and none of your gorgeous photos! Since you are on some design teams I thought you might like to know just in case you weren’t aware. I read TONS of blogs but I dont know about how you make the change. I know Ana Wolfhart just changed her settings though. Anyhow, just thought I’d let you know.
Awesome! Love the patterned paper and card base!
Awesome card. Would you share how you use the copic airbrush system. I’m getting the copic markers and wondered about the difficulty of the air brush. Is it something that you use all the time. Is it messy. Could a regular old card maker like me figure it out.. I love your blog and beautiful cards.
Gorgeous Trudee! Love your coloring andthe fabulous matting!
Oh my gosh, T, this is stunning!!! Such incredible detail!! I want to color and sparkle (lol) like you!!
simple, yet detailed and beautiful as always. Great job and it is true, fall will be just around the corner.
Oh Trudy!!! This is oh so beeeeautiful!!!
Love your dp and everything else about it!!!
Stunning!!!
So very pretty! Love that paper with the image…wonderful pairing!! Gorgeous coloring and sparkle!
What a beautiful card Trudee! I love all the sparkle from those glitter pens and all that beautiful coloring. You’re making it very hard for me to not get the Copic markers. *sigh*. All I can say is that my favorite bloggers are very bad for my wallet.
