Shimmering Rose Vine

I couldn’t wait to use my new Lockhart stamps that arrived this week! Karen’s “Millinery” line is absolutely gorgeous! For this card, I used the Embellishment Rose, and the Ribbon Rose. When I saw these two stamps, I instantly thought of pinks, blush, white, and vellum. I wanted something dainty and soft to play out the delicate feel of these images.

I began with a Cotton Candy Memory Box notecard. I rubbed my Versamark pad all over it, then rubbed Micro Pearl Pearl-Ex all over the card. I gave it a quick spray of hairspray to seal it, then set it aside to dry. I totally LOVE how shimmery that card is!!!

I stamped the Ribbon Rose on a piece of vellum cardstock, using Brilliance moonlight white ink. I stamped them each in different directions to make it more visually appealing. Next, I turned the vellum over, and colored the roses and leaves with my Copic markers R83, and YG63. I love how quickly the Copics dry on vellum! I zig zag stitched the vellum to the bottom third of the card, and set it aside.

I created an embossed, scalloped rectangle with my Spellbinders Nestabilities die, using shimmery white cardstock. Using my SU! markers, I colored directly on the Embellishment Rose stamp using pretty in pink and mellow moss. I re-moistened the ink by huffing on the stamp, then stamped it on my scalloped panel. I added the SU! “Love” sentiment in the lower right corner, then adhered this panel to the cardfront on dimensionals.

To finish it off, I added tiny self adhesive pearls to each corner, then added more sparkle to the leaves and roses with my clear Copic Spica glitter pen.

I hope you like this dainty, shimmering card! :D Happy Saturday!
