So Kind…
Time for a little simplicity! I love the swirly script of this Wordsworth sentiment! It’s part of the clear “Thanks Collection” set. I paired it with these Wordsworth lotus blossoms (from the same set) and a yummy pale pink Arturo notecard.
So Kind
I stamped the sentiment and flowers with Brilliance graphite black ink, then colored them with my beloved Copic markers (the C0 marker is not pictured, but I used that for the shading):
After coloring the flowers, I highlighted each one with a clear Copic Spica glitter pen, then added this darling Queen & Co. flower shaped bling as the dot for the “i” (It’s attached with a mini glue dot). I wanted to make the sentiment pop some more, so I shaded that in the same way I shaded the flowers. Shading is such a simple thing to do, but adds SO much depth to your design!
- TIP: When shading an image, create your light source. In this design, you can tell that my “light” is coming from the left, which means that the shadows will be on the right side.
So there you have it! A really simple design…simple is good!
Have a wonderful day today!!!
Sandra asks: Love the shading effect. What is the CO marker and is there anything SU marker-wise that we could use to get this effect?? Hi Sandra! The Copic C0 (its C zero) marker is a very light “cool grey”. There is nothing that SU! has that is as light as this marker, but you could probably water down some Going Gray with an aquapainter and possibly get a similar effect?
