Bats!

OK, are these bats not the cutest? LOL! I mean how can you resist these smilin’ little critters!!! They are Rubber Soul’s “Happy Bat”.

Batty Halloween

I wanted to play with my new Making Memories Halloween schtuff, so I pulled out the paper pack and the epoxy buttons. I adhered the 2 different patterns to a Memory Box licorice notecard. At the seam, I adhered a strip of velvet May Arts rickrack with some Fabri-Tac.

I stamped 3 happy bats with Ancient Page coal black ink on cryogen white shimmery cardstock, and cut them out with my papersnips. I added some yellow sparkle to their eyes with a Copic Spica glitter pen. I adhered 3 of the epoxy stars to the card base, then layered the bats on top with dimensionals. To finish it off, I tied some Halloween May Arts gingham through the moon and star button, and popped it up on dimensionals.

  • TIP: Are you not “into” Halloween? Use this card as a springboard for another design! How about making it a winter Christmas card, using blue and white patterned paper? Instead of bats, use snowflakes!

Thanks for all of your kind comments about my banner! I am glad that you do like it. One of you said it was “warm and welcoming”. That makes me very happy, as that is what I was trying to achieve. :)

    Friendly little bats! What cool paper, too. Different from the ordinary. I like it! Of course, your card is wonderful because you’re just so darn good!
