Inchie Magnets

Hello! It’s been a really busy weekend around here, but I wanted to share a fun idea with you! I promised that I’d share my version of “inchies” today, so here they are! Inchie magnets!! :D

These were so much fun to make, and quick, too! I adhered the MemoryBox Homespun patterned cardstock to 1 inch squares of chipboard, sponged the edges with caramel ink, and set them aside. Next, I stamped the Lockhart Itty Bitty apple, pear and hot cocoa on cryogen white cardstock, then colored with my Copic markers. I cut them out, adhered them to the inchies, then added some Stickles for a little sparkle.

In order to protect these, I ran them through my Xyron laminator, but I am not wild with the way they turned out. Next time, I will cover with a layer of crystal effects or Ranger glossy accents. Finally, I adhered a 3/4″ magnet to the back. (available in the craft section of Wal-Mart.)

Here’s a closeup, and a pic of the back side:

I hope you find some inspiration with these, and I encourage you to give them a try! If you do, please leave a link so that I can come see what you did!! :D

Only a few hours left to take advantage of Ellen’s big sale!! Be sure to hop on over and check it out!! shopping

Such a cute idea. Love it.

These are darling, T — I like the food theme on these printed papers!

What a fantastic idea for a little Christmas gift or stocking stuffer! Now I’m going to have to make some of these too! TFS!

What a fun addition to any fridge! Very cute, Trudee. :)

These are too cute, great idea for mini magnets!

Those are just DARLING T!!! I love the colors and coloring, just so cute!

These are sooooo cute and yummy — perfect for the kitchen!! Love the colors and the sparkle! I know a fridge they would look great on… ;)

Very cute- these would make a great project for our Girl Scout troop!

these turned out really cute! I was wondering how you’d protect them, too.. maybe a heavy-duty laminator would work better…but yours are adorable!!

These are so cute!! I love the mug (and the sparkles)!

Oh Trudee…I love your adorable inchie magnets! They are just to cute and perfect!

I would never have imagined how cool these little creations are, had I not been one of the lucky ones to receive one of Karen’s Nicholas Flurry creations during Ellen’s sale!

How cute, cute, cute! Love those inchies Trudee!!! Fabulous job! This would make a cute gift too!

What a rockin’ idea! I love the inchies, think they are so cute, but never made them because I thought “what the heck would I do with those?!”. Totally going to make some of these for my Mom for her office.

As an aside, I also tried making magnets once using my Xyron laminator (I have the cartridge that has lamination on the front and magnets on the back), but didn’t like the way it looked all that much either.

Thanks for the inspiration!!!
