Mine is, without a doubt, “The Little Mermaid”… such a wonderful love story. My boys bought it for me on DVD a few years ago for Christmas. They won’t watch it with me (they are 13 and 11), but at least I can enjoy it anytime I want!
I love to sing along to the music!

Posted by: patty | February 8th, 2008 18:10
My Favorite Disney movie ever since I was little has been Cinderella!!! I have a whole collection from books in French, German, and Gaelic (My Dad would bring them home to me when he went away on business trips) to dolls, to movie prints signed by Irene Woods. (the voice of Cinderella) Of course I have several DVD’s too, one to save one to watch. LOL Nothing matches the artistry of the animated movies Walt was involved in! True magic!!!
Have a great time at CHA!!!

Hmmmm… favorite Disney movie? Well, while all of the new ones are fantastic (those that I’ve seen, anyway), I have to say that my favorites are the ones from my childhood, just because they get so much sentimental value placed on them. I loved Cinderella and The Little Mermaid, but overall I probably loved The Lion King the best, because I learned to play the majority of the soundtrack on the piano.
Posted by: Shelby | February 9th, 2008 11:40
I like lots of Disney movies but my favorite has got to be Sleeping Beauty, hands down. It’s the perfect fairy tale.

Bambi has been my favorite Disney movie since I was a little girl. It was also a favorite of all my daughters. Last year I introduced my youngest granddaughter Anastacia to this classic when I stayed with her while her parents were deployed. This Christmas when we were visiting them, my husband and son-in-law started discussing their hunting experiences. Ana listened intently for a few minutes, then ran up to her dad, hands on her hips, and kicked him in the shins. “You killed Bambi’s mother!” she shouted and ran crying to her room. I don’t think he’ll be going deer hunting next year!
