Black Eyed Susans

Published by trudee at 10:19 am under Card Designs, Copic, Lizzie Anne Designs, Spellbinders

Continuing with my Lizzie Anne Designs assignment, here’s another card I made with Dreaming of Dots! I also used So Swirly, and Sketched Sentiments.

Inspiration for this card came from a piece of Heidi Grace Wild Daisy Rd patterned paper. It’s hard to see in the photo, but first I stamped the dotted circle pattern in craft white ink on the barely banana cardstock. Then I randomly stamped the flowers and swirls with Adirondack butterscotch and lettuce inks, with hazelnut as the flower centers. I watercolored the flowers with the butterscotch ink, then outlined them all with my clear Copic Spica glitter pen.

I felt like the panel needed a little punch, so I outlined it with a dark brown gel pen, and sponged around the edges. I wanted to keep as much of this “patterned paper” showing as I could. As I was deciding on a sentiment placement, I thought of this Spellbinders tag. It’s cut and embossed on Neenah classic cream cardstock, and sponged with hazelnut ink. In keeping with the “dot” theme, I used this olive sheer dotted ribbon from Lindsey’s store. The tag is popped up on dimensionals. The entire panel is adhered to a Prism candle glow dark cardbase.

Can you tell I have Spring fever? LOL! My crocus are all popped up in full bloom and look so pretty. Come on Spring! I’m right here waitin’ for ya! :D

Hope you all have a great day today! Thanks for visiting!
