Congratulations Trudee!!! How wonderful to go after your dreams!
For Easter my kids and I are ‘hitting the road’ for a 7 hour drive to Seattle.. We leave tomorrow bright and early and return late next week.. It’s also Spring Break.

We live on a ranch at 3,500 feet, so I am looking forward to the sunshine on my face (maybe next month!) all the snow melting, and the chance to just be outside in my spring clothes - sneaks, jeans, tshirt, and sweatshirt if chilly…..

We are going over to my mom’s for Easter Dinner early (noon), I guess that means no breakfast since she is making Leg of Lamb, kwim?

It’ll be difficult as on the 24th, it’ll be 20 years that my dad passed away at the age of 41, just 5 days after my birthday on the 19th. But, it’s one day closer until we meet again on the other side.

Easter is a busy day for us at church. We will start with a SonRise service followed by a breakfast and then our regular service followed by an Easter Egg hunt. My husband is a tax accountant, so it will be just me and the kids again this year! In our house April 15th is a holiday!

It is kind of funny thinking of spring today… I went to Wabash MN with my family yesterday to see the fabulous eagles up close and personal. It was a breathtaking experience! However, we woke up to about 5″ of snow and it was falling in huge flakes. It was quite a drive home. I am so looking forward to warm spring weather and pretty flowers.

We are ushering at church Sunday and then our family is coming over for Easter dinner. Usually, I have an Easter egg hunt for the grandchildren.

We don’t have any family in the area, so we are going out to eat for Easter. There is a ski resort here that is having a fancy 5-course tasting menu. Should be super yummy It’s a good alternative to cooking a giant meal for only 2 people.

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary. For Easter every year my extended family gets together in New Orleans for a crawfish boil. I am 55 years old and we have been doing that for as long as I can remember. We have approximately 100 people and lots of fun. We do an Easter egg hunt for the children and we have lots of homemade desserts. My favorite dessert is Pontchatoula strawberry shortcake with whipped cream. Yum.

I took early retirement in September, 2006 when the mortgage insurance company I had been working for closed our office. Ahhh Spring! My favorite time of year … a sentiment shared by others. And Easter — my favorite holiday, and the only one that I can truly say I’m sorry I don’t have children to share it with. It always brings me back to the first Easter I remember as a child — perhaps because the backyard egghunt was caught on some old B&W film — its whereabouts long ago forgotten. There were my two older brothers in their neatly pressed slacks and white shirts, standing proudly with their baskets full of eggs that we dyed the night before, and me in my pretty little dress and shiny white patent maryjanes and frilly socks, holding up my latest find. Daddy panned the camera to the picnic table where Mommy’s beautiful bunny cake with the coconut frosting was being nibbled on by the neighbor’s cat! Hahahahaha!! (No one was laughing at the time …)

My father passed away 38 years ago today at the age of 40. This date is always a sad day for me. I was only 15 years old and didn’t have him in my life for very long. Every memory of him I can conjure up is a precious one.

It’s hard to believe!

I hope you had a great Easter! We were in Atlanta for a wedding and just made it back home! Luckily, the Easter Bunny stopped by our home while we were gone!When we left Missouri on Thursday night- it was warm enough to turn the furnace off. When we arrived home tonight- we had flurries and snow on the ground!!!!

For Easter, we traveled to my parents’ place to spend the weekend with them. We had Easter breakfast at Church and then stayed for the Easter service. A good way to spend time together

I so enjoy reading your blog almost daily. You are a huge inspiration. I especially enjoy your eye for color - what goes together, etc. We had a beautiful Easter in that our pastor’s message was fantastic - the same thing in a new way - He is RISEN! We also hid Easter eggs in the yard, and our son had a blast looking for them. It was very chilly hiding the eggs at 7:30 in the morning at 24 degrees, but Greg had a blast looking for them. We are very much looking forward to warmer weather and the spring bulbs popping out of the ground. Hope you had a beautiful Easter with your family.

I’m afraid we had a bit of a miserable Easter here in England. Got home after a few days away in Carcassonne, France to find our Central Heating wasn’t working. As it was just before Easter, we’ve had to wait til today for someone to come and fix it!! So we’ve had no heating or hot water all weekend - and really cold weather - sleet and snow!!

Can’t wait til the Engineer’s been so I can get warm!

This Easter was very different - Good Friday was my son’s birthday, and Saturday was his first college outdoor track meet, over 500 miles from home. We traveled to the meet then took him with us to spend the long weekend with family.

For Easter we visited my husband’s aunt and uncle who live in a tiny town with a little country church. We had a ham dinner with all the trimmings. Even though they’re in their late 70’s, they dyed eggs and had an Easter egg hunt for my kids.
