Lighthouse Duo

Published by trudee at 11:16 am under Card Designs, Copic, Lockhart Stamp Co

Ahhh Spring has returned, and it’s so pretty out this morning! Hope it’s nice where you are, too!

I have a couple cards to share, using Karen Lockhart’s Striped Lighthouse. This is such a great image for masculine cards. The first one uses red as the predominant color:

I used the NEW Basic Grey Boxer 6×6 paper pad for both cards. I colored the lighthouse with the following Copics: E31, 34, 39 for the sand, B95, 97, 99 for the water, YR31 & Y 38 for the sky, R27, 59 for the red stripes, W2, 4, 5 for the gray stripes and roof.

I cut and embossed the image with my rectangle Spellbinders Nestie die, and embellished it with some pewter SU! and WeRMK hardware. Sentiment is from PaperTrey’s faux ribbon set. A bit of yellow Stickles for the sun and lighthouse finish it off!

Next, is the same image and layout, but predominantly blue:

For this lighthouse, the sand, sun and water are the same as above. I used Copics: B41 for the sky, N7 and 100 for the roofs, and B99 and N7 for the blue stripes and house.

Isn’t it funny how a card can look so different just by changing the main colors?

I have some really exciting news to share, but you’ll have to come back on Friday, cuz it’s one of my VERY favorite things!! :D Bye for now!!
