A litte sketchy…

HA! ;)

This week’s JBE challenge was one of my favorites: a sketch!

I really love this paper from Pink Paislee. These 2 patterns are from the Mistletoe & Co collection. Aren’t they fun? I think they are versatile enough to be used for any occasion~not just Christmas!

I’ve always loved the aged and distressed look, so I went with that for this design. After stamping the sentiment on the shimmery ivory cardstock,  I sponged the entire panel with Ranger vintage photo ink. I also sponged the Melissa Frances lace with the same ink. I ran a thin bead of cinnamon Stickles at the seam of both dotted panels, for a little bit of sparkle. I finished off the sketch by layering two buttons and tying them together with some linen thread. A very simple design. :)

I wanted to take a moment and thank all of you for your kind words regarding Wheezer’s passing. It’s so nice to know other people who understand the loss of a loved furry family member. I’m doing better this week. :)
